Tracy Woodward - Principal Physiotherapist
Tracy completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in Victoria in 1995 and has been in the industry ever since. Her experience is vast, having worked widely across the private sector as well as being a chief physiotherapist in two aged care facilities and running private hydrotherapy and exercise classes for all ages. Since 2006, Tracy has worked alongside her husband Paul as a principal practitioner at The Physio Nook in Doubleview.
Tracy is a passionate and dedicated “hands on” practitioner with a gentle and caring nature. Tracy has a special affinity with her elderly clients, of which she has a large and loyal following.
Tracy also has a keen interest in mastitis and has provided much needed pain relief to countless new mums over the years with her successful combination of ultrasound therapy and gentle massage. She is well known for her mastitis treatments and patients travel from all over Perth for consultations with her.
Tracy gained her Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness from the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers, making her a fully qualified personal trainer which comes in very handy with exercise prescription!
Tracy juggles physiotherapy with her career as an award-winning and Australian bestselling author of contemporary fiction (under a pen name). Her books have also been published in North America and sold into Europe for translation rights. Her next novel is due for release with Penguin Books Australia in September 2024.
Tracy's passion is social justice. She initiated Meals by Mums which provides home cooked meals for homeless people in Perth. Meals by Mums has served up over 4,000 individual meals. She spearheaded the West Coast Fiction Festival which raised $18,000 for Share the Dignity to purchase free sanitary product dispensing vending machines for public high schools, as well as running the #7dollarsfor7years campaign which raised $7,000 for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.Tracy has been a mentor to children at Balga Primary School with the 12 Buckets programme and before this she mentored twelve teenage girls at Ballajura Community College. She was presented runner-up for the Michael Chin Award by Rotary Australia in recognition of her community service.
Tracy is a mum to two gorgeous adult children, she cooks with great abandon and in her spare time she runs a much loved little street library.
